Bio

Sophia Brown-Heidenreich was director of the Artificial Intelligence Policy team at the Foundation for American Innovation. She is currently on leave to serve as senior advisor at the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Center for AI Standards and Innovation. Prior to FAI, she served as the director of strategy and partnerships at the Horizon Institute for Public Service, where she focused on building pipelines into policy for experts in emerging technologies. Previously Sophia was also a George C. Marshall fellow at the Heritage Foundation and a Research Fellow at fp21. She holds a BA in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
