Hannah Hagen

Bio

My name is Hannah Hagen, and I am a Professional Staff Member for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. I am originally from Boca Raton, Florida, and completed my bachelor’s at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. On the Commerce Committee, my portfolio covers aviation, semiconductors, and travel and tourism. I started on the Commerce Committee working on the CHIPS and Science Act, and quickly developed a knowledge set for Federal semiconductor policy. Since then, I've continued to shepherd bipartisan legislation, including the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 and the Building Chips in America Act. Now, I'm focused on increasing my knowledge of AI and its applications across a variety of systems. A few things about me: I love staying active through sports such as tennis, running, and horseback riding. I look forward to meeting everyone in the FAI fellowship and can't wait to spend this summer diving into AI policy!
