Gavin Fry

Bio

Gavin Fry is a research fellow with the science and innovation team at the Foundation for American Innovation, where he covers the weather and atmospheric science portfolio.

Gavin graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2025 as a first-generation student. He previously interned with the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory and the National Weather Service, covering topics such as extreme precipitation patterns and severe weather vulnerabilities in the U.S. Gavin was named a Harry S. Truman Scholar in 2024 for a commitment to a career in public service, and a Barry Goldwater Scholar in 2023 for his research on tornado vulnerabilities in the Mid-Southern U.S.
