Ben Murphy

Bio

Ben Murphy is a non-resident fellow at the Foundation for American Innovation, where he works at the intersection of emerging technology policy and legal doctrine. He is also a non-resident fellow at the Institute for Progress and an AI Policy Resident at RAND, where he works on questions involving institutional design for regulators of emerging technologies, and policy options for addressing near-term cyber risk.

Previously, Murphy held engineering roles at Substack, Inflection AI, and Google. He is currently a final-year JD candidate at Harvard Law School, and he holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Brown University.
