Bio
Spencer Macdonald is a senior advisor for Web3 and government innovation at the Foundation for American Innovation. He is also an advisor to cryptocurrency startups on product strategy and regulatory compliance.
Previously, Spencer was a U.S. Army Officer and active duty Product Manager at the Army’s Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA). At ECMA, Spencer led the Department of the Army’s enterprise DevSecOps environment, and led the developer tooling infrastructure that powers the Army Software Factory and other government software units. Previous assignments in the Army included service as a Field Artillery Officer in the 1st Cavalry Division, and a rotation to Camp Casey, Republic of Korea. Before joining the Army, Spencer was a product manager at a venture-backed Internet of Things startup, Pet Wireless, which was acquired by Nestlé Purina.
