Frontier Legal Defense

The U.S. legal system will have a defining influence on the future of artificial intelligence. From tort and copyright to administrative and national security law, the precedents that will be set over the next few years will have a dramatic impact on the technology, the industry, and AI’s ultimate implications for the American way of life.

FLD provides the frontline legal support necessary to secure the technological frontier as AI systems become dramatically more powerful in the near future. We fight the concentration of power, incumbent rent-seeking, and government overreach in AI that threaten American leadership, safety, and freedoms. We do this through legal advocacy, public interest litigation, and education.
