America led the world into the Information Age. Yet, today we lack a comprehensive, market-oriented vision for securing American competitiveness into the future. While digital technologies have propelled American progress, we have become complacent with advances in this sphere – accepting bigger phones and sandwich delivery apps in place of flying cars and missions to Mars. Are we still the nation of big ideas and grand projects, or will other countries carry history forward? Could an endeavor on the scale of the Apollo Program or the Manhattan Project succeed in today’s America? Or has stagnation taken hold?
Join Lincoln Network for “Reboot American Innovation,” a full-day conference where we will explore topics ranging from the growing threat of China, to Silicon Valley vs. risk averse regulators, to innovation in bits vs. atoms, to the cathedral vs. the bazaar. We hope that together we can inspire fresh thinking and new ideas that will reinvigorate American innovation.
