Next week’s election is gearing up to be one of the most contentious in American history. Short of a landslide for either candidate, a large percentage of the country may see the result as illegitimate if their side doesn’t win.Holding a safe and secure election in 2020 will involve significant challenges: the COVID-19 pandemic, allegations of election fraud, and foreign adversaries’ disinformation campaigns to undermine confidence in the democratic process. Americans have a civic responsibility to be informed and do their part to defend the integrity of the 2020 election.
