Helen Andrews | Speaker
Helen Andrews is a senior editor at The American Conservative and author of Boomers: The Men and Women Who Promised Freedom and Delivered Disaster (January 2021). Previously she was managing editor of the Washington Examiner magazine and a 2017–18 Robert Novak Journalism Fellow.
From 2012 to 2017, she lived in Sydney, Australia, working as a think tank researcher for the Centre for Independent Studies. Before that she was an associate editor at National Review.
Saif Ishoof | Speaker
Saif Y. Ishoof, Esq. serves as Vice President for Engagement at Florida International University. He was appointed in May 2015 by President Mark B. Rosenberg and leads the office in incubating transformational partnerships. As VP for Engagement, Saif builds win-win-win partnerships that create sustainable change for the university and its students; public and private sector partners; and the global community. He is also a Green Fellow at the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs. Previously, Saif served as founding Executive Director at City Year Miami, which provides 17-24 year olds an opportunity to serve one year in high-need schools as tutors, mentors and role models to address the opportunity gap. Under Saif's leadership, the organization more than doubled in size and scope with an expansion from 8 to 17 schools. His professional career includes being a startup technology entrepreneur and executive in the agricultural and engineering space. Prior to City Year, Saif served as CEO of FCT Technologies Corp., a firm involved in renewable energy, crop science and water resource management. Saif is a graduate of America's Leaders of Change, a program of the National Urban Fellows.
Delian Asparouhov | Speaker
Delian Asparouhov is a principal at Founders Fund. Before joining Founders Fund, he was a principal at Khosla Ventures, head of growth at Teespring, and founder of a healthcare company called Nightingale. Delian is Bulgarian, attended MIT, and likes to ski and play soccer.
Marshall Kosloff | Moderator & Co-Host
Marshall Kosloff is the Director of Outreach and Media for the Lincoln Network, and co-hosts The Realignment podcast. Before Lincoln, he was a researcher on PBS’s Firing Line with Margaret Hoover and participated in the Public Interest Fellowship. He is also a Media Fellow at the Hudson Institute. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Oregon. Marshall lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Peter Thiel | Speaker
In 1998 Thiel and several others cofounded Confinity, which was designed to handle payments between Palm Pilots. The following year it merged with Elon Musk’s X.com, and PayPal was created, with Thiel becoming its CEO and chairman. Designed to create “a new world currency,” the e-commerce company specialized in Internet money transfers. PayPal proved hugely successful, aided by its use on the online marketplace eBay. In 2002 eBay acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion. The transaction made Thiel a multimillionaire, and he subsequently invested in a number of start-ups, notably Facebook (2004), an online social networking service. He also established the hedge fund Clarium Capital Management.
In 2004 Thiel cofounded Palantir Technologies, a data analytics firm. Critics questioned its subsequent involvement with the CIA and other government agencies, especially given Thiel’s libertarianism. However, he argued that Palantir’s technology allowed for focused data retrieval, preventing overreaching searches and more draconian measures. The company was also used by banks to detect fraud and handle other cybersecurity efforts. In 2005 Thiel established Founders Fund, a venture capital firm. It invested in such companies as Airbnb, Lyft, and Musk’s SpaceX. Thiel also founded the Thiel Fellowship, which seeks to revolutionize education. He's also the author of Zero to One.
Bambi Francisco Roizen | Moderator & Co-Host
Bambi Francisco Roizen is a Filipina-American wife, mother, entrepreneur, investor, and writer. She is co-founder and CEO of Vator, a media and investment company. She co-founded Invent Health, a forum for digital health innovators, with a focus on mental and behavioral health. She was an award-winning syndicated columnist and TV correspondent for Dow Jones MarketWatch. She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and studied Apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary. She is the author of Unequally Yoked: Finding balance and hope in our differences.
